“Kundalini yoga gives us:
Leverage- the power to make a difference in our lives.
Legacy- a complete integrity in its own structure beyond any individual.
Lineage- a history and a line of transmission, brought to us and from which we can share.”
(As stated in the Aquarian Teacher)
What is Kundalini Energy?
Kundalini Energy is the creative energy of the divine in you. Kundalini means loch of the beloved. The energy resides at the base of the spine and moves in the body to aid in transformation, transition, and deep understanding of reality.
How is Kundalini yoga different from other yogas?
Putangali was an ancient sage who identified the parts of yoga.
He called them the 8 limbs of yoga. Kundalini Yoga uses all eight limbs of yoga. Most yoga systems we know of in the west are based off Hatha yoga, which primarily focuses on one of Patangali’s 8 limbs called asana or postures. Most people recognize these postures as yoga when in fact they are one piece of an eightfold path. For a moment, try to imagine the multitude of postures in a Hatha yoga class. Some postures that people know might be downward dog, cobra, or wheel pose. As many postures as there are, there are just as many if not more techniques of breathing and meditating. We do some of these postures in Kundalini Yoga but equal emphasis is also placed on pranayam or breathing techniques, and meditations.
Some differences you might see in a Kundalini class are moving meditations, doing yoga with your eyes closed, and different methods of breathing.
What is Yoga and its pupose?
Yoga is a Sanskrit word meaning yoke or union.
Yoga is the deepening of awareness and a remembrance of the inherent unity
of the universe. Yoga is a science of how to open your self to the one reality
in order to see its flows and movements more clearly, and become more
streamlined with them.
Best way to know what it is ..is to give it a try
