madeline and mother plant

The plant in the photos was a gift that a dear friend gave me, he called it the “mother plant” —not sure of the real name. It is called a mother plant because the long finger-like pieces push sprouts from their ends and the little sprouts grow roots and drop down to the dirt to become their own plant. The mother keeps her form and the new growth lets go when it is ready.
I ask you, is there anything smarter than plants? They can reveal so much to us if we listen and take the time to notice. : ) Plants and trees…the true inspiration.

The mother has grown and been so resilient as she tries to keep her form. She continues to inspire us as she reaches for her limit. We have been growing as well. The time has brought more clarity to the vision. Clarity that points to a community growing under the boughs of the sheltering tree. A community that inspires growth in others and almost always creates laughter and harmony.

We hope to see you soon and trust that you are finding what you need.

Why are there so many songs about rainbows
and what’s on the other side?
Rainbows are visions, but only illusions,
and rainbows have nothing to hide.
So we’ve been told and some choose to believe it.
I know they’re wrong, wait and see.
Someday we’ll find it, the rainbow connection.
The lovers, the dreamers and me.

Who said that every wish would be heard
and answered when wished on the morning star?
Somebody thought of that and someone believed it.
Look what it’s done so far.
What’s so amazing that keeps us star gazing
and what do we think we might see?
Someday we’ll find it, the rainbow connection.
The lovers, the dreamers and me.

All of us under its spell. We know that it’s probably magic.

Have you been half asleep and have you heard voices?
I’ve heard them calling my name.
Is this the sweet sound that called the young sailors.
The voice might be one and the same.
I’ve heard it too many times to ignore it.
It’s something that I’m supposed to be.
Someday we’ll find it, the rainbow connection.
The lovers, the dreamers and me.

Life’s miracles….may they always inspire us.
