Nia is an offering on some of the Ladies Healing Nights on the 3rd Friday of each month from 6-7:30.

Her mission is to continue to spread the education and Nia Joy and healing arts with as many people as possible to inspire personal transformation.

“I love to dance! It’s my prayer, my meditation, my sorrow, my joy. It’s me and how I connect to Spirit, my higher Being.

Years of competitive ballet as a child sucked the joy from my dance years ago. It wasn’t until 2005 and a diagnosis of Rheumatoid Arthritis that I discovered Nia, which is an amazing body, mind, spirit conditioning fitness and lifestyle practice. Is it fun? YES! Is it conditioning for the body? YES! Is it safe? YES!”              -Teresa

Nia is all about PLEASURE, embodying the essence of the ancient martial arts of Tai Chi, Tae Kwon Do and Aikido, dance from Isadora Duncan, jazz and modern dance, and the healing arts of yoga, the work of Moshe Feldenkrais and The Alexander Technique. Best of all, you might have never danced in your life yet you can do Nia.  I say “WOW!” Who wouldn’t want to try it? It’s been an amazing transformational practice for me, personally, and I love to educate and invite people to experience this healing dance for themselves.
